Safety

Both the Outlander and the Outlander PHEV have a five-star ANCAP safety rating and come with seven airbags, rear parking sensors and ABS brakes as standard across both ranges. 

Extra safety features are available on higher end models of the normal Outlander and on all PHEVs. They include blind spot warning, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert. The high-spec models of both Outlander types also offer a ultrasonic mis-acceleration mitigation system and a multi around view monitor.
