Mitsubishi's first battery electric vehicle in over a decade arrives in New Zealand in November 2026. Designed in partnership with Italian design house Pininfarina, built by EV manufacturer Foxtron, and backed by the Mitsubishi network Kiwis have relied on for more than fifty years.

The ASX has been one of New Zealand's most familiar compact SUVs for years. The VR-e badge is new. It takes its name from the Galant VR-4, and it signals exactly what this car is: sporting character, fully electric.

Every line on the ASX VR-e does something. Look closer and you will see it.

The ASX VR-e will be offered across four models, headed by the high-performance GSR.
Pricing and full specification for each model will be announced by Mitsubishi Motors New Zealand in the coming months.

Going electric is a big call, and the support behind the car matters as much as the car itself. The ASX VR-e has been developed with ride and handling tuned for local road conditions, and it arrives backed by more than 60 Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide and over five decades of looking after New Zealand drivers.
Register your interest today and we will be in touch as soon as pricing and specification are released.
