The new Mitsubishi Express van is packed with functionality and flexibility features to offer you an exceptional value and is ready to get your business moving.
The Express cabin is the ultimate work area, with smart design focused on practicality, functionality, ergonomics, comfort, and storage. Initially we will have the short wheelbase variant with two engine options: the 1.6L twin turbo diesel paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, or the 2L turbo diesel paired with a 6-speed dual clutch automatic.
With a robust and assertive new front profile, the Express comes with black styling and features such as dusk sensing halogen headlights, halogen daytime running lights, and front fog lights with cornering function.
The rear exterior boasts a step bumper with reversing sensors, rear centre stoplight, and reversing camera and tail lamps with rear fog lights. There are sliding, unglazed cargo doors with door steps on both sides. The Express Van has 160 degree opening rear twin barn doors for convenience and ease of loading and unloading.
Standard width NZ pallet or GIB sheet can fit in the cargo area as the width between wheel housing is 1,268 mm.
The left door is able to be locked closed while the right door stays open for safer loading or for use when transporting long objects which extend out the door.
The left and right doors are equipped with a door stop that automatically holds the door at 85 degrees when opening. You can pull the lever to open wider to 160 degrees.
The Express Van has 16 in built cargo rings, 3 floor mounted rings each side and 5 side mounted rings each side.
Once inside the Express using keyless entry, you’ll find an intuitive dashboard design and the technology and storage space you need at your fingertips.
Express also comes with a driving style indicator, eco mode, three seats with cloth trim, a fold down workstation middle seat, plenty of dashboard and under seat storage, a multimedia audio system, and reversing camera and sensors.
Let’s details all these a little bit:
The driving style indicator on the dashboard is variable from green to yellow to red depending on harshness of the acceleration depression to help the driver be more efficient.
The Eco Mode optimises fuel consumption by limiting certain power consuming systems in the vehicle (heating, air conditioning, power- assisted steering etc) and on certain driving actions (acceleration, gear changing, cruise control, deceleration etc). Limiting acceleration enables low fuel consumption in urban and surrounding areas.
The cabin has ample storage with 24.6 litres of storage built into the dashboard and 89 litres total cabin storage. The dashboard features large storage compartments in front of the passengers. While also having a large glove box and many smaller storage pockets for small and valuable items. The dashboard also conveniently features 3 drink holders.
The middle seat has a fold down workstation complete with pull-out clipboard, clipboard holder, storage for a laptop and additional cup holder.
The Reversing Camera is mounted high up by the centre brake light and the display is in the auto dimming rear view mirror.
The Mitsubishi Express van has all the space and comfort you need in a light commercial vehicle, plus a host of standard safety features:
The new Express comes with 100,000 km or 3 year new vehicle warranty and shares the same service intervals as all other Mitsubishi products: 12 months or 15,000 km, whichever comes first.
